Getting Started With Rebump

To help you start using Rebump, here is a short tutorial on how to login to your Rebump account and setup a “Bump” sequence

A “Bump” sequence is a series of automated follow-up emails that are sent through your Gmail account to remind a person to open and respond to an important email you sent them. As soon as that person responds to it, your Bump sequence automatically stops sending that person follow-up emails.

Here’s how to setup your first Bump sequence:

Step 1. Login to your Rebump account by going to www.rebump.cc and then click the black “Login” button found in the upper right hand corner of the home page.

Step 2. Click the “Bumps” Tab found at the top of the page.

Step 3. You now have two options. You can either use the Default Bump sequence where the Bumps are pre-written for you, or you can create your own customized series of Bumps. You can also edit the Default sequence if you wish. To create your own customized series of Bumps, click the red “+ New Bump Sequence” button.

Step 4. If you chose to create a New Bump Sequence, your next step is to edit each “Bump” message so it says what you want it to say. To give your Bump messages more design style, you can use basic HTML to format your Bump messages.

You can also set the time schedule for when you want each Bump sent by clicking the “days” down arrow (see screenshot below). This feature allows you to set the number of days you want Rebump to wait before sending a particular message in your follow-up Bump sequence.

If you would like to add more Bumps to your sequence, click the blue “Add Another Bump” button at the bottom of the page.

If you wish to make additional New Bump Sequences, simply scroll back up to the top of the page and click the red “+New Bump Sequence” button and create a new sequence of Bumps.

How to add a Rebump sequence to an important email

Step 1. Login to your Gmail account using a Laptop or Desktop computer. If you just installed the Rebump extension, and you do not see it being displayed in Gmail, you may need to refresh your Gmail window.

Step 2. Click the “Compose” button to write a new email.

Step 3. Next to your email “Send” button at the bottom of your email message window, you will see a checkbox and a down arrow, which opens a drop down Rebump menu.

To activate a Rebump Bump sequence for this email message, click the down arrow and choose the Bump sequence you wish to use. Then, check the Rebump box to activate Rebump for this email message. When you click Send, if your email recipient does not open your message within the time frame you established for that particular Bump sequence, your Bump sequence will automatically begin sending follow-up messages to remind your email recipient to open and respond to your email.

If you would like to change which Bump Sequence is chosen by default in Gmail, login to your Rebump Account, click on the Account Tab, scroll down to the section that says, “Default Extension Sequence, and then click the menu down arrow to select the Bump sequence you want to be set at your new Default sequence. Then, click the green “Apply Changes” button.

Refresh your Gmail window if you do not see your changes.
